Character Growth Digital Poster

Assignment Instructions:

1. Remember big events that happened in “Esperanza Rising”

2. Choose Esperanza and another character from the story

3. Write down the challenges both characters faced

4. Write 1-2 sentences about how each character changed

5. Look back in the book for two quotes that show how each character changed

• Use quotation marks when copying directly from the text

6. Sketch or plan a layout for your poster on paper

7. Create your digital poster

   1. Login to Canva through classlink

   2. Choose a blank poster template

   3. Add the title “______’s Character Growth Poster”

   4. Create two text boxes — one for Esperanza and one for your second character.

   5. E. Type your sentences explaining each character’s challenges and growth.

   6. F. Add two quotes or examples from the text.

   7. G. Insert 2–3 pictures that show their challenges or changes.

H. Check your work — make sure it’s neat, organized, and easy to read.
